Bournemouth Site Manager Celebrates Remarkable 29th Industry Award
A construction manager from Bournemouth has reinforced his reputation as one of the most decorated professionals in the housebuilding industry after receiving the 29th Pride in the Job award of his career.
Dave Murnane, 57, from Hengistbury Head, is currently overseeing construction at Bellway’s Kingsmere Park development in West Parley, near Bournemouth.
During a career spanning four decades, he has helped deliver hundreds of homes across Dorset and the wider South West.
His latest National House Building Council Quality Award brings his career total to 29 Pride in the Job honours, including 18 Quality Awards, 10 Seals of Excellence and one Regional Award.
This year, just 449 site managers were selected for a Quality Award from around 7,500 inspected by the NHBC across the country.
Dave, who has worked for Bellway for 25 years, said the recognition reflected the continued efforts of the team working alongside him.
“I’m incredibly proud to win the 29th Pride in the Job award of my career,” he said.
“However, winning these awards is not about chasing recognition. It is about maintaining the same high standards every single day.
“Every home we build is someone’s biggest investment, and my team takes real pride in delivering quality, attention to detail and a finish we would be happy to hand over to our own families.
“Consistency, teamwork and never compromising on quality are what have driven our success over the years.”
The Pride in the Job awards recognise site managers who demonstrate consistently high standards across all aspects of housebuilding.
Judges assess areas including leadership, technical expertise, attention to detail, health and safety, interpretation of plans and specifications, and the day-to-day management of a development.
Unannounced inspections are also carried out throughout the judging process.
Dave will now progress to the next stage of the competition, with the Seal of Excellence and Regional Award winners due to be announced in the autumn.
