A1 car wash is giving up an entire day’s takings to raise money for a local children’s charity.
On Sunday, 11 October 2026, A1 Car Wash on Southwick Road, Bournemouth, will donate 100% of the money raised from car washes throughout the day to the Dorset Children’s Foundation.
The team at A1 Car Wash will not keep any of the car wash income generated during the event. Every penny raised from customers having their vehicles washed that day will go towards supporting the charity and the children and families it helps.
A1 Car Wash owner Ehsan Talebi said:
We wanted to do something meaningful for the local community. Instead of simply making a donation, we thought we could dedicate a whole day of the business to the Dorset Children’s Foundation.
The more cars we wash, the more money we can give to the charity, so we really want the Bournemouth community to get behind us and make the day as busy as possible.
We won’t be taking any of the car wash money for ourselves that day. It’s all going to the charity.
A1 Car Wash is also working to spread the word through local media, radio stations and community organisations in the run-up to the event.
Bournemouth One has already confirmed that it will add the fundraiser to its listings and give the event mentions in the weeks leading up to the charity day.
The team is now encouraging local residents, taxi drivers, businesses, families and anyone who needs their vehicle cleaned to visit A1 Car Wash on 11 October.
Ehsan added:
Even if you were already planning to get your car washed, coming down on that particular Sunday means the money you spend will be helping a local children’s charity at the same time.
We’d love to see a queue of cars throughout the day. The bigger the turnout, the more we can hand over to the Dorset Children’s Foundation.
